Its All Mine To Discover

Its been an odd few days but very much enjoyable. My load was out of St George NB for 2 drops in Boston, nothing much exciting really, except for running down from St Stephen down to Bangor a very nice route (except for the hills)we don't normally enter the US through this crossing.I hadn't really done much in Boston city before but got both drops off before monday morning rush hour and was on my way out on the 90 ready for parking up and some sleep before most people were up.I recieved a message to head for New Jersey later on,so after having my time off i ran down to Carneys Point for some more well earned rest lol.Now i was hoping for another run down into Georgia, this time i wasn't as lucky it was a load out of Virginia, i was told to head down US route 13 and they will forward my details through, sound i thought so off i set. This road would be ok except for the 2 million sets of traffic lights all along it and guess what, i think i hit every bloody one going there and coming back up.I get my reload on and decided to head back to Carneys point for the night, then i can run straight up to Toronto the next day, i hit a storm coming up through Maryland, ive never seen one like this before, all things started going through my mind Twisters, Hurricanes you see these on the telly and what destruction they cause and heres me driving in it,as your probably aware (cos im writing this)i made it through safely through, but there were certain speaky bun times believe me.I made my way back up north and just before i hit the border i get a message,Oh thats very good its my reload, Ludec and Edmonton Alberta, and i even have a trailer number which means its all loaded and ready to go what a very nice surprise.I tipped my load then headed off to Brampton, now its getting a bit late now but i still had a bit off time, so the plan was to pick my trailer up sort out paperwork get some fuel then head out of Toronto up the 400 to the nearest service area and get some sleep.I hate having to fight my way through the rush hours traffic which will be especially bad for the next few days as there is the G20 summit here the RCMP are everywhere.I couldnt start till 9.30 but was awaken rather early by the rain, it was hammering down on the truck and was relentless for ages,so i set off heading north for North Bay now this is where i start to really enjoy myself, unfortunately we travel the same bits of Canada over and over again so its sort of got a little tedious,on the vehicles number plate for the Ontario province it says YOUR TO DISCOVER and well my feelings were thanks but no thanks, what ive seen doesn't interest me one bit,a little narrow minded i guess, but the places i keep going to in and around Toronto don't do anything for me.Well i eat my words every last one of them as soon as you head north what an absolutely beautiful, awe inspiring place, now im seeing what i thought Canada was about.Even though i have travelled all over here, i hadn't actually driven this section as when i headed out West last time, i entered Canada through North Dakota into Manitoba, so this is new to me.If you like the out door life camping, fishing, hiking, boating, hunting etc well get yourself over here for a hoilday, there are lakes galore and spectacular views.Further up at Cochrane they do the polar bear express into the upper northern regions this is definately one for me to come back to with Lady Pen.This trip has renewed my energy into what Canada was for me again, i was slightly edging towards the US, but now i just want to DISCOVER IT ALL, in which i will do in time.
