We finally touched back down in Manchester airport in the very early hours of wednesday morning.Turkey now was just another memory except for the ailments ive come back with, the dreaded Turkey Tum (i will leave that to your imaginenation).Fantastic weather and beautiful scenery and time to relax with the family and Biggles (The Fresh Prince's girlfriend)was worth every penny,with all the best intentions of actually going on a few trips,we only sort of made a couple,down to the aqua park one day then in my wisdom after chatting with a guy and his daughter i decided to go horse riding Derrrrrrr.Myself,Lady Pen and Little Miss A got picked up and driven with other victims to the other side of Marmaris for a 2 hour safari,now this was where im now regretting making my bold descision,these things
have no brakes or steering wheels and do pretty much what they want to do,after a quick brief by our instructor we started to saddle up,one by one until it was my turn i must admit that was the easiest part, unfortunately the realtionship between man and beast went rapidly downhill after that,everyone was just sat upon there mount all patiently not moving unlike me where the horse decided it would be so much fun to ram us into the side off a tree.Good start i thought, undeterred i tried to do as instructed, pull sharply on the reins only for the wild animal to bolt and head straight back into the stables,me thinks at this point it wasn't very happy,and here's me thinking i've actually paid for this pleasure.Things did go better after that, well a little anyw
ay but we were told under no circumstances let the horse eat the long grass along the way, Well you try stopping it eat it cos i tried and to be truthfull, i would rather let him eat that than my leg as this what it tried to do when the situation arised.We eventually arrived back after our momouth trip a little shaken but unscathed, no more bright ideas from me again !!!!!.Unfortunately like all good things our holiday came to an end and the stark reality that im heading back west in a couple of days
looms once more.
